Hi! my name is Carter, and Pants is training to be my service dog. She's being trained for seizure alert and response, as well as mobility tasks. I started having seizures in 2019 and was having over 100 a day, my seizures cannot be cured and there is no medication that can help them. I don't have as many now, but still have quite a bit a day. I lost the use of my legs in April 2021 after having spasms throughout the day and dystonia when I try to move them. pants have been a great help already while we are doing training, and with more training, I can see our future together flourish. She's helping me get my independence back. she loves to play ball and her favorite thing to do is sit, she started doing it by herself so I never had to "officially" teach her how to sit. as we work we grow stronger together.

Hi, I'm Marian. I often lean on Dory's "Just keep swimming" mantra in my life. My service dog in training is Journey with Phoenix .

Going to doctor's and therapists weekly is daunting so I "just keep swimming." Sometimes I fall, almost fall, and get dizzy regularly. I also have chronic pain due to various health problems. I escaped an abusive husband and took my kids and I to the YCC crisis shelter.

On top of my medical and psych challenges, I have 4 amazing kiddos, some with special needs.

I have a 12 year old who recently came out as queer. They have medical and psych challenges that keep them from going to school or being safe unattended. Their service dog in training is learning to mitigate through Jada 's Living Pawsitive LLC training. Their dog's name is Zero the Hero . They will benefit by having much more independence and be able to go to school and do more with their friends and family.
